Recognition highlights Nexteer’s leadership in energy efficiency and community-driven sustainability
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – November 24, 2025 – Nexteer Automotive, a global leader in intuitive motion control, has been honored as a finalist for the Manufacturing Sustainability Award in the Michigan Manufacturers Association’s (MMA) 2025 Manufacturing Excellence Awards, recognizing the company’s leadership in advancing environmentally responsible practices and strengthening community engagement across its operations.

Nexteer’s U.S. Division has achieved significant environmental milestones that demonstrate the company’s commitment to sustainable operations and community impact. These efforts span renewable energy, waste reduction, community engagement and product innovation. Highlights include:
- Launch of a 25-acre solar field in Saginaw generating nearly 10 megawatts of renewable energy and avoiding thousands of metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
- Reduced energy consumption by more than 31 million kilowatt hours and avoided over 21,000 metric tons of carbon emissions in 2024 through strategic management and operational improvements.
- Reused, recycled, recovered or composted 91% of waste streams in Saginaw and 88% globally in 2024.
- More than 13,000 employee volunteer hours and over $200,000 to local causes in 2024.
