Nexteer Automotive Debuts Richard Childress Racing Partnership

SAGINAW, Mich. – March 18, 2016 – Nexteer Automotive will debut its partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR) for the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series this Saturday, March 19 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. Nexteer is the primary sponsor for the No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro driven by RCR’s Rookie of the Year contender Brandon Jones for Saturday’s race.

The race is the first of four primary sponsorships by Nexteer, to highlight its shared values with RCR such as: Innovation, systems integration, and high performance with safety. Nexteer will also serve as an associate sponsor for the No. 33 Chevrolet in the XFINITY Series and select NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

Through this strategic partnership, Nexteer will showcase its advanced steering technologies and engage with its global customers and employees. In turn, RCR will benefit from Nexteer’s power steering technology, renowned for exceptional performance, handling and safety.

“Steering is the only vehicle system that directly connects the driver to the road. Nexteer’s steering in my #33 Camaro is fine-tuned to give me a competitive edge on race day. Where seconds make the difference between winning and losing, steering needs to be precise and perform under intense conditions. I know I can count on Nexteer to deliver,” said Brandon Jones, driver of the RCR No. 33 Chevrolet.

Nexteer’s Upcoming XFINITY Series Primary Sponsorship Races:

  • March 19 – Auto Club Speedway
