Health and Insurance Coverage

Medical Coverage
Nexteer offers two options for medical coverage, to allow employees to choose the plan that best fits their needs. All medical plans include:

  • Dependents are covered up to age 26
  • Preventive care services from in network providers, such as annual physicals and well baby care, mammograms, colonoscopies, etc are no charge for employees
  • Prescription drug coverage, including 90 day retail and mail-order options.
  • Other medical services such as doctor visits, hospital care, etc are subject to appropriate co-pays or deductibles.

Dental Coverage
Nexteer offers dental coverage to help employees and their families pay for dental care and orthodontia services. Dependents are covered up until age 19 or age 24 if they are a full time college student.

Vision Coverage
Nexteer offers vision coverage to help employees and their families to pay for eye examinations, glasses and contacts. Dependents are covered up to age 19, or age 24 if they are a full time college student.

Life Insurance and Accidental and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
To protect employees and their families in the event of death or serious injury, Nexteer automatically provides basic life, basic AD&D and business-travel accident insurance.  Employees also have the option to purchase additional life insurance and/or AD&D insurance for themselves and their dependents.

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance
Employees automatically receive basic short-term and long-term disability insurance and have the option to purchase additional long-term disability insurance.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Nexteer offers a dependent care flexible spending account to allow individuals to pay for dependent care expenses (including child and elder care) on a pre-tax basis, which helps reduce income taxes.

401(K)
The Nexteer Salaried 401(K) Retirement Savings Plan is available upon hire. Nexteer offers  a generous automatic contribution as well as the opportunity for matching contributions.


Vacation and Holidays

Vacation
Nexteer provides vacation with pay so you can enjoy regular periods of rest and relaxation. Vacation is based on years of service in the current calendar year.

Holiday
For most employees, Nexteer provides paid time off for approximately 15 standard holidays. Holidays may vary slightly from year to year.

Work/Life Balance
To help employees manage the balance between their work and personal lives, Nexteer offers resources such as our Employee Assistance Program, a confidential service connecting employees and their families with experienced counseling professionals for help with personal issues and stress management. Services also include articles, checklists and counseling for a variety of issues employees might face.

Education and Training
Consistent with Nexteer’s commitment to our High Performance Culture and our objective to create an environment where every employee can contribute and excel, Nexteer encourages its employees to continue to pursue education and training opportunities in order to perform their job more effectively

Nexteer Scholarship Program
The Nexteer Scholarship Program is available on a competitive basis to employees who have a least one (1) year length of service. This program provides an opportunity to grow and develop high performing employees’ knowledge and skills while assisting them in their career path process.

Incentive Compensation Plan
Employees can influence Nexteer’s business performance by what they do and the daily business decisions they make. When employees support Nexteer’s business priorities and values, including exceeding expectations for Nexteer’s customers, the long-term success of Nexteer is improved.

All U.S. Classified salaried employees are eligible for the U.S. Classified Incentive Compensation Plan. Nexteer’s Incentive Compensation Program is designed to recognize and reward employees for achievement of business performance based on our financial performance and quality. Incentive Compensation periods are on semi-annual basis and are paid based on employee designation: Saginaw Site or Corporate Headquarters. Separate targets are established for each designation and employee designations are reviewed at the beginning of each payout period.
